Why it exists
Tiffany built it to run her own studio's client work. In her words:
I never used another tool. I built my own, because I didn't want to learn a tool built for other people and then make it fit my workflow. So I made it flexible and easy, not overly complicated.
Her studio was Patch's first user. Patch is what that portal grew into: one branded place where clients approve quotes, sign contracts, pay invoices, get their files and message the business, with stages that check themselves off as they go.
What it does
- Quotes your clients approve in their portal
- Contracts and amendments they sign there, with a record of who signed, when, and from what IP address
- Invoices paid by card or US bank account, straight into your own Stripe account
- Files that can wait for the final payment, plus approvals and comments
- Messages, intake forms and guided reviews
- Leads, with AI that researches prospects, finds new ones, reads business cards and drafts follow-ups for you to edit
- Stage lists written for your kind of work, which you can change however you like
- Your logo and one brand color on your sign-in page, your clients' portal and every email
What it doesn't do yet
Patch handles the client side and tries hard not to be everything else. As of October 2026, it doesn't do:
- Scheduling or booking calls
- Time tracking or hourly billing
- Automatic payment reminders or late fees
- Proposals as their own document (Patch has quotes)
- Importing clients from another tool
If one of those is a dealbreaker, it's better you know now.
Pricing
Solo is $35 a month and Team is $89 a month. Both start with a 14-day free trial, and you don't need a card to start. If the trial ends and you haven't picked a plan, your portal goes read-only: you can still see everything and your clients can still pay what you've already sent, you just can't create anything new until you pick one. See the plans.
Your clients' information
Every business on Patch is kept separate from every other one. Payments go to the business's own Stripe account, so Patch never holds anyone's money or sees a full card number. More on how Patch keeps things safe.
